| Advanced Pack Socialization (APS) is a comprehensive approach to canine socialization.
The APS program is modeled after the Pack to Basics style of canine socialization. Chad Mackin, an expert in the field, created the Pack to Basics style and personally trained the staff at K9 Connection in his method.
The APS approach to socialization is grounded in the fact that all dogs are naturally social creatures and have particularly strong social drives. The APS program utilizes those natural drives to help dogs overcome fear and stress, and to build the dog’s confidence and balance.
APS is not free-for-all playtime. It is a structured socialization process designed to enhance a dog’s social skills. Although all dogs can benefit from APS, the program is designed to help those dogs with known social issues who may otherwise be excluded from other venues such as Doggie Daycare or Playgroups.
